what i'm thinking about

Happy Holidays, Gorgeous!

What do you say we *shake things up* this year?

Out with the “shoulds”
Out with tolerating the same-old
Out with whatever no longer feels good to you

I’m suggesting a complete holiday overhaul - a holiday edit of the traditions, practices, habits, and thoughts that make the holidays less than enjoyable.

How?

First, join School of Self-Image. You don’t want to miss the month we have coming up.

Doors are open for a few days! Our December theme is Your Health Commitment - all about getting to the core of what it takes to live in your ideal body year-round.

(This is the ultimate antidote to yo-yo diets, weight cycling, body image challenges, and putting your health on the back burner.)

*Important Note: Join as an annual member or upgrade to an annual membership and get access to both The Wealthy Woman course and my live VIP session “How to Be the Wealthy Woman During Financial Hardship” on December 6!

Step two: Register for A Red Hot Holiday Party

Be sure to register for my *free* holiday party. It’s all about editing your holiday season while elevating your happiness & health this December. (Holiday attire encouraged!)

Years ago, I edited my Christmas holiday season and deleted all the shoulds that often accompany this time of year - things that used to make me feel overwhelmed, frustrated, and anxious.

Christmas cards. Expensive gifts. Mandatory dinners. Certain parties. Homemade cookies. Plays. Outfits.

I asked myself, “What would a dreamy Christmas look like to me?”

I wrote a list - and on that list was travel.

Travel is my favorite gift to give to my family and myself.

So this year, guess what we’re doing?

I’m gifting everyone a trip to Aspen for the holidays. We’re going to ski on Christmas day, sip hot chocolate by the fire, and go out to dinner for our holiday meal.

Now it’s your turn. Imagine your most fabulous holiday.

What does it look like? How does it feel? Who’s present? And what needs to be left on the editing floor?

Let’s find out together this month. It’s your last chance to join School of Self Image in 2022.

In fact, you can go ahead and skip New Years’ Resolutions altogether too. Just join School of Self-Image today and consider your New Years’ Resolutions as good as done.

In the first 30 days of 2023, we’ll walk you through:

  • Selecting your “Word of the Year” - a word that will guide your vision for the entire year
  • Setting an Extraordinary Goal (which is what makes us extraordinary women!)
  • Using the Dream Atelier process and *something new coming soon* to achieve everything on your bucket list (This surprise will be revealed before 2023 - only to the members of School of Self-Image.)
  • Making new friends with women around the world
  • Giving every area of your life a makeover according to your values, your dreams, and your preferences!

Ready? Let’s make this holiday season incredibly bright.

P.S. Welcome to this edition of The Edit - The Bejeweled Issue. Let’s dazzle ourselves this December. This issue will show you how.

The Thought Edit

A New Thought to Restyle Your Mind

Dress the Body You Have Today

In light of our December focus “Your Health Commitment”, this is one of the most important concepts I can share.

Want to dazzle yourself on the daily? Then dress the body you have today.

So often, we abandon ourselves when we don’t look or feel how we want to; when we don’t accomplish what we say we will; when we make a mistake; when we are imperfect.

We withhold love from ourselves, and we rob ourselves of living a full life NOW.

Sometimes, we avoid style altogether. We don’t invest in pieces that make us feel good, waiting until someday when we’ve achieved a certain health goal.

But here’s a counterintuitive truth:

Dressing the body you have now actually motivates you to keep recommitting to your health goals.

You feel more attractive. You feel more confident, and because of that, you make better choices.

So dress the body you have today. Ok? She deserves it, and so do you.

Splashing Out
with Annette Harrington

“To run a half marathon within a year may not be an EG for some but it is huge for me. I’ve been putting off buying running shoes until my run stretches get longer, and I have been wearing my walking shoes instead. As I’ve quickly discovered, this is a problem with potential injury.

Thanks to our Worthy Woman workshop, I realized my future self, a successful runner, would of course wear nothing but the correct running shoes.

So I splashed out and bought brand new, properly fitting running shoes today! Then, as today is a running day, I went for my run - a 2.9 km stretch of intervals.

My why for wanting to do this is huge. Number 1 is my health. I’m just so pleased that I joined SOSI and grateful for Tonya’s awesome wisdom and encouragement.”

A Taste of Style

Making the Everyday Extraordinary

Style Your Plate

Have you ever thought of eating a meal like it’s a treat for ALL of your senses?

Ever since I read “French Women Don’t Get Fat”, I’ve been styling my plate.

Why? Because food is a visual feast as much as it is a flavorful experience for your palate.

And believe it or not, making sure your plate looks visually appealing will help you increase the amount of satisfaction you get from eating your food, which makes you less likely to overeat.

Spend an extra minute making your plate look beautiful. You’ll love the difference it makes.

HAUTE HABITS

Habits for Creating the Impossible

Walk Every Day

I think walking should have another moment. Forget about weight loss. What about these other incredible benefits?

  • More energy
  • Heart health
  • Muscle tone
  • Stronger bones
  • Improved mood
  • Better memory
  • More sleep
  • Stronger immune system
  • Reduced stress

I hope this podcast gives you grace this holiday season.

We get so focused on how we look, and that may just be our biggest obstacle. Health is one of the biggest gifts I’ve given myself.

In fact, here are the top 5 gifts I’ve given myself.

Your Invitation to Connect & Celebrate

Celebrating You This Holiday Season

Being intentional this holiday season may not sound sexy but it is sooo sexy.

This is a time for you to rest and recharge, connect and and enjoy.

Why make it a stressful, anxious, overwhelming time when, with a little intentionality, you can make it exactly how you want it to be?

Let’s make this holiday season all about celebrating YOU.

I can’t think of anything more fun, and I can’t think of anyone more worthy.

Your next level life awaits you, Gorgeous. And I am SO here for it.
