A while back, I heard that “The Soft Life” was trending on TikTok, so of course, I had to go check it out. And when I did?
I laughed. Because I’ve been teaching, writing about, and living the soft life before it had a hashtag. (You may have remembered it as French Kiss Life.)
For over a decade, I built my company with ease, elegance, and flow – working, yes, but always with intention. I believed in pleasure and productivity. Rest and results. Beauty and ambition.
Then, about five years ago, I got lured into Hustle Culture.
Push harder. Do more. See what you’re made of.
And listen – I played in that sandbox.
And what did I find?
I could push harder.
I could hit crazy goals.
I could see what I was capable of.
But I also found myself so far outside my Sweet Spot that I barely recognized my own life. I had lost the thing that made my success feel good: the softness.
And I know so many of you have felt it, too.
So, here’s the truth: I don’t regret that hustle season. I learned a lot. I proved things to myself. I built things I’m proud of.
But here’s the thing – life is about contrasts.
I needed that period of hustle to clarify what I truly value. Sometimes, you have to experience the extreme to know where your true balance lies.
But I also realized… I don’t have to prove anything anymore.
My best ideas, my best work, and my best self thrive in ease, not exhaustion.
Softness is not weakness – it’s a strategy. A fabulous one.
So, I’m returning to The Soft Life. But this time? I’m bringing with me the wisdom from the hustle years.
If you’ve ever felt pulled between grinding and grace, tune into this week’s podcast.
So, tell me – are you craving more softness in your life, too? If so, find me on Instagram and tell me about it.
With ease & elegance,
The Strength in Softness
Water is the softest thing, yet it can penetrate mountains and earth. This shows clearly the principle of softness overcoming hardness.
~ Lao Tzu
In a world that celebrates force, softness is often misunderstood as weakness. Yet water – the softest element – carves canyons through mountains not by fighting but by flowing.
This week, notice where you’re pushing against resistance. Could you flow around it instead? Where might yielding actually create more movement than forcing?
Remember: Your soft energy isn’t the absence of power – it’s simply power in its most sustainable form.

Double-Layer Shoe Organizers
My closet used to be chaos – a perfect reflection of my hustle-culture mindset. These double-layer shoe organizers helped change that.
By instantly saving 50% of my closet space, they’ve created physical and mental breathing room. Each pair in its place, visible at a glance.
What surprised me most? The calm I feel when small parts of my life – like my shoe collection – are effortlessly organized. Sometimes, the path to a softer life begins with the simplest solutions.
The Soft Life vs. The Hustle Culture
What happens when you stop pushing and start flowing?
This week, I’m talking about the counterintuitive truth I discovered after years of hustle: sometimes, slowing down actually speeds up your progress.
I’ll share how I transitioned from burnout to balance without sacrificing ambition and explain why “soft” doesn’t mean “lazy” – it means strategic, sustainable, and surprisingly powerful.
