Meet the Founder

Hi there – I’m Tonya Leigh

Certified Master Self-Image Coach, former nurse, and founder of a movement for women who want more – and aren’t afraid to create it.

My life changed one night at 2AM, when a doctor asked me a single, powerful question:

Who do you want to be?

Not what I wanted to do, but who I wanted to be.

My essence. My energy. My identity.

My answer? Audacious. Off-script. Nothing like the version of me I was living at the time.

And yet, I started living it.

That decision led to sipping wine in France, hosting retreats in Paris, and eventually founding the School of Self-Image – a global community for women ready to create lives that reflect who they truly are.

Because here’s what I know for sure:

A woman’s life always rises to the level of her self-image.

And I’d love to show you how to elevate yours.

Type 7 – The Enthusiast (translation: forever chasing beauty, possibility, and the next adventure)

Jazz House Mix— because every workday deserves a soundtrack

Classic at the core, romantic on the days I’m feeling soft, and dramatic when I’m ready to make an entrance.

Plotting my next getaway, deep in a board game (Backgammon is my love language), or lingering over long, laughter-filled dinners with friends.

Type 1 – The Perfectionist

Coffee House Jazz Scenes on YouTube (also love that crackly fireplace and rainy day vibe).

I’m in my Sports Mom Era, so lots of cozy and sporty looks in our school team colors. I also love incorporating classics like blazers, blouses, and trousers when we’re hopping on a Zoom call or meeting in person.

Cheering on the sidelines of one of my sons’ sporting events. Yes, I’m the loud, borderline obnoxious mom!

Type 4 – The Individual

A medley of feel-good, dopamine-boosting tunes: classical, Afrobeats, and House Music for focus and a little soul when it’s go-time

Edgy, athletic, minimal - think “Aritzia-meets-Pilates”; monochrome, clean lines, slick sneakers or statement pumps

Shopping or moodboarding on Pinterest, at the gym, or on a long walk outdoors, trivia night with friends, journaling, and deep in a podcast rabbit hole.

Type 6 – The Loyalist

All the good music from hip hop to cumbia — plus a steady stream of electronic playlists on YouTube

Dramatic Bohemian - fun jewelry, comfy dresses, colorful shoes

Spending time on the beach or exploring new corners of Mexico

Type 8 (the Challenger), but with a Wing 7 (the Enthusiast).

My Summer 2025 playlist! I have a wideeee variety of music tastes. One for every mood 😉

This is a hard one because I love to incorporate all the style types! When I’m not in workout clothes, I love pairing a fun cowboy boot with a vintage leather jacket and a skirt or suede shorts, and adding my Jacques Marie Mage glasses—voilà, a little western or boho with a modern twist.

It used to be golfing, but now I am back into tennis full throttle! Also, working out and a lot of poker nights with the boyfriend and friends lately (they call me Sarah Straight).

Every time I take this test, I get a different answer; most recently, I scored 1, 3, and 6: the Perfectionist, the Achiever, and the Loyalist. Like Abigail, it's challenging to distill every situation into a single archetype.

Exploring Utah, finding my next favorite restaurant, and spending time with my humans (my family = my built-in BFFs).

I got Bohemian on the Style Quiz - not the first time someone’s used that word on me - so maybe my hat counts as a style statement?

Traveling (though often still working), primarily in Ireland, but around the U.S. as well, or hanging around the house with my wife. We were the rare couple who enjoyed lockdown, and in lots of ways, we only technically stopped.
