Let me tell you about a strategy that saved my life as a little girl:

I learned to read rooms perfectly. To sense what others wanted before they even knew they wanted it. To shape-shift into exactly who everyone needed me to be.

People-pleasing. It worked brilliantly. It kept me safe. Got me promoted. Built me relationships. Made me successful.

Until it didn’t.

Because here’s what nobody tells you about success strategies: What protected you in one chapter of your life can trap you in the next.

That same ability to sense and meet others’ needs? It started drowning out my own voice.

That talent for anticipating what others wanted? It left me unable to know what I wanted.

That skill at being who others needed? It made me forget who I actually was.

Think about it. Your success strategy – whether it’s people-pleasing, perfectionism, control, or something else entirely – probably served you perfectly at some point. It got you where you are.

But now? It might be the very thing holding you back.

In this week’s podcast, I’m sharing the moment I realized my trusty survival strategy had become my ceiling.

More importantly, I’m walking you through other strategies that can take its place – ones that don’t require losing yourself in the process.

You might be wondering what becomes possible when you finally put down the weight of being everything to everyone. When you start choosing strategies that serve who you’re becoming, not who you needed to be to survive.

Here’s to choosing new strategies,

P.S. What success strategy has outlived its purpose in your life?

This week, notice which patterns still serve your growth and which might be ready for a graceful retirement. Remember: making space for something new often requires letting go of what’s familiar.
