Want to know the biggest trap in self-help?

It’s not what you think.

Years ago, I was deeply immersed in personal development. Books, courses, programs – you name it, I took it in.

And I’m proud to say – I wasn’t just consuming. I took action.

I applied principles. I failed (a lot). I learned. I experimented. I implemented.

But there was one problem…

The action always felt hard. Forced. Like I was pushing a boulder uphill.

And it’s because of one thing:

I was taking all of this action from a belief that something was wrong with me and that I needed to fix it.

And that belief? It kept me stuck.

It wasn’t the strategies that were the problem – it was the energy behind them. I was operating from a mindset of lack rather than possibility.

The moment I let go of the belief that I was broken and started taking action from a place of expansion rather than repair – everything changed.

Fast forward to today… I still love a great book, course, or program, but now I engage with them from a completely different perspective:

🤍 Expansion, not fixing.

🤍 Creation, not consumption.

I stopped trying to fix myself and started creating myself instead.

And let me tell you – the difference is everything.

Instead of hoarding information, I now use it to fuel intentional action – to become more of who I truly am.

This is why I’m so passionate about what we do inside the School of Self-Image.

We don’t do information overload.
We don’t do self-improvement hamster wheels.
And we definitely don’t do “broken to fixed.”

What do we do?

We take thoughtful, deliberate action that shapes who we’re becoming.

And the results speak for themselves.

When our member, Alicia, joined the School of Self-Image, she lacked clarity and self-confidence in her career. She had dabbled in various related endeavors with scattered results.

Within the membership, she gained the confidence to focus on her skills as an interior designer and real estate investor.

The result?

Her earnings have tripled since joining.

She’s slowed down physically yet accomplishes more.

She feels refined rather than rushed.

As she puts it, “I’ve stopped trying to fix myself and started creating myself instead.”

Here’s what I know for sure:

Your next level isn’t about finding the next course – it’s about finding the right environment that helps you integrate, embody, and expand.

It’s about surrounding yourself with the right guidance, support, and mindset shifts that turn knowledge into transformation.

And that’s exactly what we do inside the School of Self-Image.

It’s in the small, daily actions that align with the woman you’re here to be.

It’s about creation, not consumption.

What are you ready to create?

With warmth,

Why We Keep Seeking More

Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.

~ Carl Jung

Our endless pursuit of self-improvement can mask unconscious beliefs about our inadequacy. We often seek external solutions rather than facing internal truths.

Before signing up for a class or making a purchase this week, ask yourself: “Am I consuming to expand or to avoid?” True transformation doesn’t come from accumulating more knowledge but from unlearning the limiting beliefs that can silently guide our choices.

Kion Aminos

I discovered Kion Aminos when simplifying my approach to wellness. Instead of chasing trends, I found something that genuinely works for my body. I mix a scoop into my morning water – a small, intentional act that supports my day.

The lemon-lime flavor gives me sustained energy without the crash of other quick fixes. It reminds me that transformation sometimes means finding fewer things that truly support who we’re becoming rather than constantly adding more.

Why Most Self-Help Advice Is Keeping You Stuck

Most personal development follows a familiar formula: identify what’s “wrong” with you, then add something to fix it. But what if that premise itself is the problem?

In this episode, I unpack how consumption without creation keeps us stuck in patterns of endless seeking. I share my journey from information collector to intentional creator and offer a fresh perspective on what real transformation requires.

If you’re ready to stop collecting strategies and start becoming who you want to be, this conversation is your permission slip to unlearn what’s no longer serving you.
