I’ve been working since I was eight years old.
First job? A strawberry farm.
Five cents a quart – and I was determined to be the top picker.
(You could say my inner hustler was born early.)
From there: tobacco fields, fast food, nursing school, night shifts, critical care, entrepreneurship.
Work has always been a part of my life.
But the way I work?
That’s changed everything.
Because somewhere along the way – between building a business, raising a daughter, and watching women burn out all around me – I realized:
Most of us have a really complicated relationship with work.
We either idolize it and tie our worth to it…
Or we resent it and fantasize about quitting life altogether to go live on a beach in Portugal.
I’ve lived on both ends of that spectrum.
And neither felt good.
So I created my own work philosophy.
I call it: Leisurely Hustling.
It’s about honoring two powerful parts of myself:
➡ The Inner Hustler who loves goals, momentum, creating, producing
➡ The Inner Lady of Leisure who loves rest, beauty, presence, pleasure
When I ignore one, I suffer.
When I honor both, I thrive.
There are seasons where I’m head-down, creating magic.
Other seasons, I need to retreat, rest, and refill.
And when I work from that place – not out of guilt or fear, but joy and devotion – everything expands.
I call this Elegant Success.
Here’s the best part:
This doesn’t mean doing less.
It means doing what matters, with more energy and elegance.
I get more done now than I did five years ago – without the burnout.
And it’s not because I have some magical superpower.
It’s because I’ve stopped resisting work and stopped worshipping it.
Instead, I’ve fallen in love with the rhythm of it.
The purpose behind it.
The kind of woman I become when I show up and give my all – and then unapologetically unplug.
If you’re exhausted, uninspired, or just plain over it… It might not be your job that needs to change.
It might be your philosophy.
Because when you shift how you see work…
work stops being something you escape,
and starts becoming something that enriches your life.
With love,

The Work-Life Lie
Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work.
~ Steve Jobs
The biggest lie we’ve been sold is that work and life are opposites. That work drains life, and life exists despite work. But what if they’re not enemies at all?
What if the problem isn’t your job, your schedule, or your workload – but the story you’re telling yourself about what work means? Because when you change the story, you change the experience.

CHANEL Le Rouge Duo Lip Colour
One of the questions I get asked most often is “What’s your lip color?” And lately, the answer is CHANEL Le Rouge Duo Lip Colour in Light Rose.
I love the color, of course. But its two-in-one design is what has me coming back to it time and again. The liquid lipstick gives me ultra-saturated color that lasts, while the high-shine gloss adds the perfect finishing touch when I want to elevate my look.
Plus, it’s long-wearing enough to take me from morning meetings to evening events without needing a touch-up. What’s not to love?
[Summer Series] My Work Philosophy
If you’ve been around here long enough, you know that I genuinely love working. And, honestly, I think that might be the secret to everything.
In this episode, we are revisiting a previous episode on my work philosophy – how to get more done without burning out. I’ll show you how to honor both your ambitious side and your need for rest, and why shifting your relationship with work (even when it feels impossible) might unlock everything you’re trying to create.
Plus, I’m revealing how my philosophy has evolved over the past couple of years. It’s a good one.
