One of my personal rules is this: If I bring something new into my closet, something else must go.

Why? Because space matters.

If I want to hang up something fresh, something outdated has to come off the hanger.

And it’s the same with life. Reinvention isn’t just about what you add – it’s about what you release.

This brings me to something I’ve been thinking about letting go, something that does not belong in my Next Era.

Here’s the issue:  Most people look at me and think, “She looks healthy.”

And they’re right – I am.

But deep down, I know I’m capable of feeling even better.

What doesn’t belong in my Next Era is the quiet compromise of “It’s fine.”

  • Skipping a workout because “It’s fine.”
  • Choosing convenience over nourishment because “It’s fine.”
  • Settling for looking good on the outside while knowing I could feel more vibrant, more alive on the inside.

I don’t want fine. Fine is for wine – not my health.

In my Next Era, I want radiant energy.

I want to feel strong, lit up, and fully alive in my body – not just to keep up, but to expand into everything else I want to create.

I want more than fine. I want intoxicating vibrance.

So I’ll ask you: What doesn’t belong in your Next Era?

Need some ideas? Tune into this week’s podcast episode.

With vibrance,

Clsoing Chapters

Closing time, every new beginning

comes from some other beginning’s end.

~ Closing Time by Semisonic

Every New Era requires a conscious goodbye to what came before. Addition without subtraction is just clutter. You can’t step into your next chapter while dragging the energy, habits, and compromises of your old one.

What doesn’t belong in your Next Era isn’t always obvious – it’s often disguised as “good enough.” The relationships that drain you slowly. The standards you’ve quietly lowered. The excuses you’ve dressed up as reasons.

Your Next Era is waiting, but it requires you to release what’s keeping you comfortable in this one.

Lululemon Daydrift Trousers

My daughter Sarah told me to try these Lululemon Daydrift Trousers, and honestly, I was skeptical. Wide-leg silhouette plus pleats?

But she was insistent, so I ordered them. Turns out, she was right – they’re ridiculously flattering and I’ve been living in them.

The funny thing is, they’ve made me realize how I was limiting myself with what I thought “worked” for my body. Sometimes your Next Era requires you to question the rules you’ve been following without even realizing it.

5 Things That Don’t Belong in Your Next Era

This episode is like a friendly intervention for your Future Self. I’m calling out the five sneaky things that love to hitchhike into your Next Era uninvited – from energy vampires disguised as “supportive” friends to those little compromises that seem harmless but are secretly sabotaging your glow-up.

Consider this your permission slip to be ruthlessly selective about what gets to come with you. Warning: You might find yourself mentally drafting some breakup letters by the end of this episode.
