There’s a time in life when you want to get as far away from home as possible…

And there’s a time when all you can think about is going back.

Can you relate?

When my team asked me, “Where will our next event be?” I felt tears come to my eyes…

The South has a special grit and grace that’s completely unique.

It has a quiet glamour, a settled soulfulness, and a comforting ethos that wraps you up in a warm hug.

When I thought about bringing you back to my roots, I also thought about my own journey and how it all began in France.

French food. French wine. The French way of life…

And you know what city blends the beauty of France and the soul of the South into one gorgeous melting pot?

New Orleans.

That’s why it’s the location for SOSI South - and this edition of The Edit, The NOLA Issue, is an homage to all the parts of my journey that have led us to this beautiful city.

This year and this event has been all about coming back home to myself —

my deepest loves, my strongest values, and my insatiable appetite for not only Southern food and French joie de vivre - but for life itself.

And, it’s all led me here… to a place in my life where I feel better than I’ve ever felt — physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

I cannot wait to share this magic with you at SOSI South. Will I see you there?

P.S. In case you have no idea what I’m talking about, let me fill you in.

On November 2-5, I’m hosting an event called SOSI South that’s designed to get you to step into your own personal renaissance.

It’s an opportunity to shake things up and create your own recipe for a charmed life.

It’s about making magic happen -

We’ll be:

✨Embracing novelty

✨Breaking conventions

✨Finding new inspiration

✨Connecting with creativity

✨Adding glamour

✨Creating charmed rituals

The whole event is inspired by the grit and grace of the South, the birthplace of Jazz, and the home of Hollywood’s Golden Age.

There will be soirées, adventures, conversation, and of course, life-changing, never-before-seen content.

If you haven’t explored attending with us quite yet, don’t wait! Tickets are selling super fast.

Everything Has Led You to This Moment

You may love where you come from and you may not. The important thing to remember is that everything - every place, every person, every experience - has led you to this moment.

So whether you keep on traveling or you end up right where you started, all that matters is what you do today.

A Life Explosion with Jennifer Szescula

“I joined SOSI in 2022 after searching everywhere for something that would bring me out of the funk that I was sliding down.  I knew that things weren’t going in the right direction and only I could change it, but I felt mired and trapped and I didn’t know how!

There was talk about the Facebook group and I knew I needed the accountability of other women. Again with nothing to lose, I jumped in.

Soon I was obsessed with getting to SOSI Desert. I had no idea how I was going to pull it off.

It seemed absurd that I would fly to AZ just to be with people I’ve never met, especially for the price tag. Your content goes here. Edit or remove this text inline or in the module Content settings. That wasn’t my scene - but I wanted it to be! I was meeting women every day in the Facebook group. I was cheering them on, and they were cheering me on!

So I booked and all the pieces fell into place. Being in that energy of every woman on fire, being herself, was transformational.  The relationships I have built with my SOSI Sisters and with myself during those few days was a personality and life explosion!

I know these ladies have my back just like I have theirs, and the local group get-togethers have also helped to keep me accountable and going for my dreams.

Here’s a short list of things I’ve accomplished since I joined SOSI:

  • Got my Reiki Level II
  • Sponsored a local women's conference (twice!)
  • Traveled with my two best friends to Washington DC
  • Became a Registered Yoga Teacher
  • Got a new job
  • Started volunteering for a mediation group
  • Visited Savannah, GA
  • Reviewed a book before publishing
  • Took my mother to tea - she was confused and then delighted!
  • Submitted writing to two contests
  • Reached out to write for a local magazine
  • Hosted a section of a neighborhood progressive dinner party (lived here for 7 years, never met anyone until then!)
  • Upleveled my self-care and personal care
  • Curated my closet (upleveled surroundings without even trying! I love my closet!)
  • And now I am finally training to be a coach myself

Now, I wake up every morning, excited to see what I can do next!”

Want a life explosion just like Jennifer? Join us at SOSI South!

A Little Love for Your Roots

You know that little gap between when you need to go to the salon and when you… REALLY need to go to the salon? I love this root product for that gap. It’s lightweight and doesn’t transfer. Perfect!

Getting Back to My Roots

Sometimes, all we dream about is getting away from where we came from. And, then, just like in the movie Sweet Home Alabama with Reese Witherspoon, there are times when your heart longs for home.

This week’s podcast is a special one where I open up in a raw way about getting back to my roots.   I hope you enjoy this one.
