During last week’s Your Extraordinary Year Workshop, I became super clear on what I’m setting out to achieve during 2024.

Powerful declarations and plans are in the making.

And, just like clockwork, that little voice that I know so well had to chime in with the all-too-familiar question:

Who do you think you are?

I spent most of my life listening to the devil’s advocate – all the reasons it could go wrong, all the potential downsides, the possible negative outcomes.

But do you know who I listen more to these days? My angel’s advocate

She’s always there, sharing all the ways it could go right, the potential rewards, and the unlimited possibilities.

The more airtime I give her and the less time I give to the fearful part of myself, the better my life gets.

 Who are you listening to?

What does she have to say about who you are, what you’re capable of, and all of the possibilities there are for your life?

It’s time to let your angel’s advocate take up residence in your brain and run the show for a bit.

 With positivity,

Celebrating Silver Linings

Life is filled with obstacles and challenges. That part is as inevitable as joy and satisfaction.

And, while none of us would wish for these hardships, it’s important to remember life doesn't happen to us – it happens for us.

Once we’ve gone through a challenging event, we can often look back and find a silver lining. But do you ever take the time to truly acknowledge or even celebrate them?

Celebrating silver linings is beneficial in two ways. It helps to shift our perspective from dwelling on difficulties to focusing on opportunities, and it provides evidence of our capacity to navigate life’s twists and turns.

Think back to a difficult situation you navigated this year and consider these questions.

  • How did I grow or learn from this experience?

  • What are three things related to this challenge that I’m grateful for?

  • How has navigating this situation been for me?

  • What strengths did I discover, and how can I leverage these in other areas of my life?

Then, in a way that feels authentic to you, celebrate these silver linings. And let them serve as a reminder of the resilient, extraordinary woman you are.

Finding the Pearl in the Everyday with Suz Podrasky

I went on a date at a nice restaurant recently. And when it was clear the date wasn’t going well, I put up my velvet rope and chose to stay poised. I decided to enjoy my food and be amused by the whole situation.

I looked down and found a pearl in my oyster!

The pearl is so pretty – the staff came to admire it, told me it was good luck, and the bartender gave me a free glass of wine. While my date was a bit surly, I was charming the room!

Finding the pearl just was so lovely.

It was like the universe gave me a tangible gift and needed evidence that “It’s possible. You got this. You can find and deserve treasures. And when you are poised and have your own back, anything is possible!”

Finding Best-Case Scenarios

If left unmanaged, the human brain tends to lean towards negativity, leading us to quickly imagine the worst-case scenario.

Dwelling in these extreme “what ifs” not only fuels a negative mindset but it makes the path to an extraordinary life challenging.

In this week’s episode, I share strategies to shift your focus towards the best-case scenarios and embrace a mindset that supports your extraordinary life.
