We all crave those days that feel energized, productive, and joyful. But sometimes, getting there can feel like a struggle.
Today, I want to share a simple secret: true delight often starts with embracing ourselves fully, flaws and all.
Forget the perfect Instagram-worthy day. My idea of “delightful” looks different:
-
Start strong: Wake up with intention, fuel your body, and set your mind for success. Think coffee, journaling, or whatever ignites your spark.
-
Own your power: Move your body, crush your workout, and wear that outfit that makes you feel unstoppable. Remember, confidence is magnetic.
-
Celebrate wins (big and small): Every completed task, conquered challenge, or friendly pickleball victory deserves a mental high-five. You rock!
-
Find joy in the little things: Appreciate the sunset, savor a delicious meal, and laugh with friends. Gratitude adds flavor to everyday moments.
-
Most importantly, love yourself: Ditch the self-doubt and appreciate your unique journey. You are worthy, capable, and awesome!
It could be dancing, volunteering, or simply taking a mindful walk. What’s your idea of a delightful day?
If it’s been a while since you’ve found delight in your days or you’re not even sure what that looks like for you anymore, I’ve got you. Next month, I’m hosting one of my favorite workshops that will guide you through creating a custom plan for your days. And that includes a healthy dose of delight.
We’re putting the finishing touches on the workshop right now, but stay tuned for more information on how to join us. You won’t want to miss it!

Embracing Joy Without Apology
Despite society’s emphasis on productivity and busyness, you must make room for joy.
Laugh without worrying about what others think. Have random dance parties at home, sing badly in the shower, and chase sunsets just for the thrill. These moments might seem small, but together, they create a joyful life.
Don't feel guilty about seeking pleasure. It's not a waste of time – it rejuvenates you, sparks creativity, and builds resilience. Make the time to engage in activities that genuinely make you happy, and don’t feel one ounce of guilt.
Remember, joy isn't selfish; it spreads to those around you.
